India has invited leaders of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand for swearing -in  ceremony of Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister , on May 30 , but left Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan from the guests’ list.

Analysts say it is a snub to Pakistan which is blamed by India for fomenting militancy and terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Recent air strikes by India into Pakistan territory of Balakot which took place after militants killed 40 Indian para-military forces became the major issue in the just concluded Lok Sabha elections.

However, former cricketer -turned politician and Pak PM Khan has telephoned Modi to congratulate him on his election victory.
