Former Indian cricket team capitain Sourav Ganguly has been elected as the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He has been elected unopposed to the BCCI, which is amongst the richest and most influential members of the International Cricket Council.
Sourav, Dada , as he is lovingly known , thanked Union Minister of State for
Finance Anurag Thakur, who is former BCCI President and the new team of cricketing governing body.
BCCI holds a big influence amongst the cricketing nations. It is all an Indian affair at the ICC which is presently headed by Manohar Shashank and its CEO is Manu Sawhney.
